FoxFi allows users to share their phone internet connection with computers and tablets over WiFi. It also supplies a USB tether without root access.

The app works specifically with the PdaNet app and Android 2.2 Froyo (API 8) and higher operating systems. It's recommended for use on newer Android phones given changes made over the years to its design. Some users with older phones can also use it as a WiFi hotspot via a legacy feature.

This app doesn't take up a lot of space on an Android phone. It only requires 217.2 KB of free space. It also requires that users download a certificate. If the phone prompts with a screen lock, then the certificate was appropriately downloaded. PdaNet's WiFi page explains this and common bugs that can happen sometimes with this app.
